FCA’s Ram division has new-for-2017 customized pickup truck packages and they’re on display at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.
First, the 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport joins Ignition Orange as the second limited-edition offering of stand-out tints on this model. It adapts an eye-popping and vivid monochromatic exterior hue with a body-coloured grille, a black-decaled Sport performance hood, a black Ram’s head grille badge, a black tailgate badge, and black body-side badges. Massive 22” polished aluminum wheels fill the fenders (available on 4x2 models, with 20” wheels on 4x4 models).
Only 3,000 units will be produced, all based on Crew Cab V8 models.
Meanwhile, the new special-edition Night packages for Ram 2500 and 3500 HD pickups expand the Ram factory-custom truck family from the half-ton Ram 1500 announced last September 2016 to the brand’s three-quarter and one-ton models.
Based on the monochromatic Sport appearance package, Night adds blacked-out features including the wheels, grille surround, running boards, and badging. It is available with Crew Cab configurations, 4x2 or 4x4, and any available powertrain combination (5.7L HEMI V8, 6.4L HEMI V8 or 6.7L Cummins 6-cylinder), plus a selection of five exterior colours.
