The G is Infiniti's least expensive model – for now. The company plans to introduce an all-new entry-level car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
No technical specifications have been provided so far, but Infiniti released a sketch that gives a taste of what the car will look like. Judging by the brush strokes and using our imagination, we can probably assume it's going to be a hatchback.
Infiniti says the new model ''will be completely different to anything currently offered by our rivals''.
The Audi A3, BMW 1-Series, Lexus CT and Mercedes-Benz B-Class are other entry-level products from premium car makers that are available in Canada.
UPDATE: According to BenzInsider.com, it’s a 3-door hatchback coupe borrowing styling cues from the Essence concept. Several sources mention that the production version of the car will be based on a Nissan-Renault platform also used for the Megane.
Under the hood will slumber a 1.8-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder mill generating around 200 hp, developped by Mercedes-Benz and the Renault-Nissan alliance.
