Along with an artist's sketch, Acura allowed as how the 2001 CL will have a high-output engine, "elegant and sporty styling and a host of luxury appointments."
The 3.2CL will be in dealer showrooms in March or 2000 and will come in thbe basic 3.2CL trim and in the high-performance 3.2CL Type S package. The latter model will get sportier handling and an engine that delivers 260 horsepower.
