Extreme Speed Motorsports (ESM) will be fielding two HPD ARX-03b prototypes this year in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), rather than the two Ferrari 458 cars they had in the GT class last year.
On top of the two LMP2 entries, ESM is also set to race with the 458 Italia in Grand-Am.
And in 2014, when ALMS and Grand-Am merge, the team plans on continuing racing prototypes in the unified series.
The driver line-up will remain the same, as Scott Sharp, Johannes van Overbeek, Guy Cosmo and Ed Brown all return to the team.
Sharp and Cosmo should be valuable assets to ESM, as they both raced prototypes in the ALMS before. Van Overbeek, with whom Sharp finished second in GT last year, and Brown, are new to the class.
The 2013 ALMS season starts March 16, at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
