Rahal Letterman Racing may have some sponsorship problems in the IndyCar series but that won't prevent the team from making a comeback in the American Le Mans Series with the new GT2-spec BMW M3 it will campaign next season.
The move to BMW will mark a return to the ALMS for the Rahal team having campaigned a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR back in 2007.
Former ALMS GT champion and works BMW driver Jorg Muller spent most of the time behind the wheel of the race car on Wednesday at Road Atlanta.
Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand will drive the car in 2009.
