The Total Team Peugeot 908s continued to dominate the field entered in the 12 Hours of Sebring, the opening race of the American Le Mans series.
The No 08 Peugeot topped both daytime practice sessions at Sebring on Thursday, but the team’s other car, the No 07 908 dominated Thursday evening's night practice, beating the time set earlier.
Ferrari test driver Marc Gené drove the No 07 Peugeot to first place with a time of 1:45.494.
The third-placed Aston Martin Racing entry was down 2.6s of the leading Peugeot
Team Highcroft Racing led the LMP2 category with fourth place overall, edging ahead of the LMP1 Drayson Lola that had held third in the previous practice sessions.
The only team unable to make it out in night practice (during which each driver must complete at least three laps) was RSR Jaguar, which remained in the pits following a failure in the afternoon session.
