Simon Pagenaud had the best over Adrian Fernandez Saturday as he passed him with only a few corners to go in the race.

Fernandez ran wide in the final lap. This is all that Pagenaud needed to bring his team its first overall victory at Long Beach.

The victory was awarded to pagenaud with a margin of only 0.353 seconds, although the driver had previously led by more then eight seconds in front of Fernandez. Heavy tarffic created an exciting race until the end which ultimately benefited Pagenaud and teammate David Brabham.

Greg Pickett and Klaus Graf placed third in the LMP category on board of their Porsche RS Spyder.

Jörg Bergmeister and Patrick Long won the GT race in Long Beach, a second in a row for the team. Their Porsche 911 GT3 finished four seconds ahead of Jan Magnussen and Johnny O'Connell's Corvette. Tommy Milner completed the podium with his BMW M3 GT.

In LMPC, Gunnar Jeannette and Elton Julian took a first victory after a second place in the season opening race in Sebring. Interesting to note that it was the first time a car propulsed by an environmentally friendly motor oil made from animal fats, G-Oil, won a ALMS event.

The team finished a full lap ahead of closest rivals Christophe Bouchut and Scott Tucker. JR Hildebrand and Tom Sutherland finished third in the class.

In GTC, Butch Leitzinger and Juan Gonzalez took their Porsche 911 GT3 to victory ahead of James Sofronas and Bret Curtis's GMG entry. Romeo Kapudija and Bill Sweedler, once leaders of the class before slipping n some loose debris, finished third.

The next round of the American Le Mans Series is schedule on May 22nd, in Laguna Seca.
