GMC has announced Canadian pricing for the revamped 2027 Sierra 1500 . The full-size pickup will be offered in six trims, with a starting price of $53,899 for the Pro model. At the top end of the lineup, the Denali Ultimate crosses the $115,000 threshold.
For this new generation, GMC has spruced up the list of standard equipment and given the Sierra two new V8 engines, not to mention a dashboard that can feature over 60 inches of display surface .
The Duramax turbodiesel engine remains on the options list as a segment exclusive.
Upgraded equipment from the base model up
The 2027 Sierra 1500 Pro, starting at $53,899, gets an upgraded version of the TurboMax engine as standard, paired with a new 10-speed automatic transmission. It also includes a 16.3-inch central screen with Google built-in, 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a suite of 10 drive-assist technologies.
The Elevation model, which the automaker expects will continue to take up a significant share of Canadian sales, starts at $67,199. It adds front bucket seats, MultiPro centre console, two MagSafe wireless charging pads, MultiPro tailgate and adaptive cruise control. The Super Cruise hands-free driving system, compatible with trailering, is available as an option.
The Sierra AT4 starts at $89,399. Thats variant gets the new 5.7L V8, 34-inch all-terrain tires, two-inch factory lift, locking rear differential and an off-road display mode. Super Cruise technology is also included as standard equipment.
Over $100,000 for top-tier trims
The 2027 Sierra AT4X starts at $109,599, taking us over the hundred-grand hump. New features include 35-inch tires, Multimatic dampers, front and rear locking differentials and a Baja drive mode. This trim also receives an 11.5-inch passenger display, 16-speaker Bose audio system and a panoramic sunroof. The new 6.6L V8 is available as an option.
On the luxury side, the Denali starts at $96,599. It comes standard with the 5.7L V8 and adds a revised suspension, head-up display, rear camera mirror and 20-inch wheels. The 6.6L V8 engine and the passenger display remain optional.
Finally, the Denali Ultimate commands a majestic starting price of $115,599. The 6.6L V8 comes standard, as do a 34-gallon fuel tank, passenger screen, 16-speaker Bose system, Super Cruise technology and heated, ventilated and massaging front seats.
GMC has not yet released horsepower or torque figures for the new V8 engines. The 2027 Sierra 1500 is expected to arrive at Canadian dealerships later this year.
