2022 Infiniti QX55: 10 Things Worth Knowing The new QX55 is based fairly closely on the celebrated FX, but we're not talking about the same driving experience at all

7. More styling = more expensive

This formula is kind of the rule across the entirety of the premium car industry. For every addition, there’s a subtraction and vice versa. In this case, for example, owners lose some interior volume in return for sleeker styling; but also, and this is so for all coupe SUVs, the asking price to drive away in a QX55 is higher than for a QX50. Expect to pay about $3,500 more than you would for the equivalent QX50.

8. The ProPILOT system

Like more and more Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, the ProPILOT system is present aboard the Sensory variant that I drove. The intelligent cruise control is a welcome aid on the highway when the driver wants to relax a bit, leaving a percentage of the control to the driver assistance system. ProPILOT is not an autonomous-drive device, but it does do some of the work helping the driver stay between the lines and away from vehicles in front.
