Minivan: 2021 Toyota Sienna
The newly redesigned 2021 Sienna takes it in the sparsely populated minivan, which still better then getting a kick in the teeth for a model that seeks to win over a core group of minivan loyalists. The model was overdue for a big update – the current generation dated back over a decade – and so Toyota has given it a freshened exterior design, upgraded interior, all-wheel drive and a standard hybrid powertrain that’s music to the ears of budget-conscious families.
Note that this marks the first time in four years that a model other than the Honda Odyssey has taken home the Best Buy award in this category.
What KBB liked:
- Much-improved, sleeker exterior styling
- Great versatility for the seating configurations
- Huge amount of interior space
- All-wheel drive doesn’t much impact fuel economy
- Well-equipped from the base version on
- Apple CarPlay/Android Auto/Amazon Alexa integration
- Quality of construction
