BMW’s been a busy beaver in the electric-vehicle domain, what with the introduction in 2022 of the impressive iX SUV and the agile i4 sedan. Those all-electrics are certainly getting thumbs-up from EV buyers and fans, but there’s also room in the BMW tent for the plug-in hybrid option.
In fact, BMW still cares enough about this clientele that they offer a wide selection of models equipped with both a combustion engine and a large battery pack. So there's still the 3 Series, 5 Series and 7 Series, as well as the X3 and X5 SUVs, all available with a charging cable and a combustion engine under the hood.
Possible ranges (in electric mode): between 27 (7 Series) and 50 km (X5).
