Continuing with its price cutting ways on its EVs, Subaru Canada has announced significant price reductions across its 2027 Trailseeker lineup. The EV will retail for as much as $5,000 less than its maiden model-year of 2026. The move makes the entry-level Touring trim eligible for Canada’s federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program.
The price adjustment follows similar reductions across Subaru’s Canadian EV fleet. Early last month, the automaker announced it was lowering pricing on the refreshed 2027 Solterra by as much as $4,500, and on the 2027 Uncharted by $2,000.

2027 Subaru Trailseeker – What’s new?
Other than the pricing, nothing – not surprising that the EV is entering just its second year on the marker. Subaru does take pains to point out the lower price point does not come at the cost of either performance or feature content.
Powertrain of the 2027 Subaru Trailseeker
No change means that the Trailseeker, which is a mechanical twin to the Toyota bZ Woodland, retains its dual-motor electric powertrain. Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive uses equal-output front and rear electric motors to generate 375 hp, giving the SUV a 1,500-kg towing capacity.
A 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery delivers an estimated driving range of up to 446 km under ideal conditions. To simplify public charging, every 2027 model comes equipped with a built-in North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.
Off-road capability remains a focus, supported by 210 mm of ground clearance, Subaru’s dual-function X-MODE system (featuring Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings), Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control.

Inside, the flat-floor cabin houses a standard 14-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety remains comprehensive, with standard driver-assistance features including Pre-Collision Braking, Front Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring.
The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker is scheduled to arrive at Canadian dealerships in late 2026.
