The Toyota RAV4's new plug-in hybrid version, which delivers a range of 64 km in all-electric mode, was first introduced in Ontario as part of a local launch of the model. So it was in the Kingston area that we discovered and first drove the Prime, a compelling version of an already-compelling model.

The RAV4 is also extremely popular with consumers, and Toyota has had to work overtime to try and meet the overwhelming demand for the Prime.

We'll have to keep a close eye on the RAV4 Prime over the winter, as some owners have reported small issues with it on certain online forums. Nothing major, but elements that are worth keep an eye on for those considering getting in line for a Prime.
