Folks may not have been sure about attaching the Mustang name to an EV people-moving hatch when it debuted for the 2021 model-year, but they’ve certainly changed their tune. This all-electric crossover is one of the top-selling BEVs in Canada.
Folks have grown to appreciate the styling (especially in top-flight GT form), they like how it can be had as either a long-range single-motor RWD model offering up to 600 km between charges, or as a high-performance dual-motor AWD model.
The interior is a clutter-free affair with a low-profile gauge cluster and large vertical central display. Add one-pedal driving similar to Hyundai’s i-Pedal, and what you get is a very appealing package.
Not to mention that coming late 2024 there will also be a Rally model with enlarge rear spoiler, specialized body styling and a new Rallysport drive mode to allow for easier drifting and better control while off-road.
As with many of Ford’s current products, questions about reliability remain regarding what is still a relatively new model, but it stands to reason that as the Mach-E matures those issues will gradually get resolved.
