One of three-time World Champion Ayrton Senna’s McLarens has been turned into a supersized “Airfix kit” and will be auctioned in two weeks in Germany.

The 1991 Honda-powered McLaren MP4/6 raced by Senna was dismantled by the team in Great Britain and was later given to artist Jay Burridge who turned it into the gigantic “Airfix kit”.

This is the car that the Brazilian drove to his third and last F1 world title.

The sculpture will be sold by the International Car auctioneers COYS at their Nurburgring event in Germany on August 13th.

Chris Routledge from COYS said he believes the sculpture will sell for between $50,000 and $80,000.
