The study measured consumer interest both before and after the price ($3,000) was revealed and unsurprisingly showed that the rate of interested buyers drops to 20% when money comes into play.

One of the most expensive technology taken into account by the study, the fully autonomous driving systems hit peak popularity with men between the age of 18 and 37 (30%) who live in urban areas (30%). However, many people prefer to wait and see, in order the let potential glitches be fixed.

Finally, the study says that 31% of luxury car owners are in favour of autonomous driving, whereas only 18% of the economy car clientele agrees.
