"Be Strong and Resist. Don’t Text and Drive," SAAQ urges

By ,

The Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) this week launched yet another campaign against texting and driving. During the next few weeks, two French-language commercials will air on TV, while other messages in both English and French will be broadcast on the radio.

“Although 99% of Quebecers acknowledge the hazards of texting at the wheel, a large proportion of drivers cannot resist doing so. We must therefore increase our efforts to raise awareness,” Transport Minister Robert Poëti said.

Are you one of those people who can’t stop texting and driving? Remember that since April 2015, offenders in Quebec receive a fine of $80-$100 and four demerit points.
