Bernie Ecclestone has indicated he's ready to quit if Rupert Murdoch takes control of the sport.
Reuters reports that Murdoch’s News Corporation is actively working to be part of a consortium to buy Formula 1 from current owner CVC. Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim (reportedly the world’s richest man) is named to partner with Rupert Murdoch.
Sunday Times quotes Bernie Ecclestone saying: "I’m old enough to get a pension, so I don’t have to get a job. I’d have to be sure the people (who take over the F1) are people I would like to work with and whether they would want to work with me."
CVC is still in the process of conducting a strategic review and could sell, according to Reuters sources.
