Seven-time Formula One world champion, German Michael Schumacher was slightly injured Wednesday in a racing motorcycle accident in the Spanish city of Cartagena.
The Murcia regional health department said Schumacher fell during a private testing session of superbikes at a race track and was later hospitalized.
The 39-year-old was testing an IDM (German Superbike) Holzhauer Racing Honda Fireblade when he crashed. "This sort of thing happens," Schumacher said.
The department said Schumacher remains under observation at Virgen Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia.
