Buick set a record this past September by attaining the one-million mark for vehicles sold globally in 2016 – the fastest it has managed this in its 113-year history. By the same period in 2015, the manufacturer had sold 800,000 units worldwide.

“Demand worldwide continues to grow for attainable Buick luxury and the beautiful, quiet and comfortable cars and SUVs we offer,” explained Duncan Aldred, Vice-President of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing. “We complement that driving experience with customer service that consistently ranks among the highest in the industry.”

Buick’s SUVs have been gaining in popularity across the globe, but the manufacturer’s vehicles have been particularly sought after in China. Buick is now the second-biggest seller of passenger vehicles in that country. In the United States, Buick ranks ahead of competitors like Acura, Lincoln, Infiniti and Audi for units sold.
