As we stood in the rather frigid early morning air the distant rumbling of a beastly Murcielago strutting its stuff down through the winding streets of Old Montreal marked the beginning of an entertaining starting line. Ferrari was in good attendance with a few F430's floating around, as were the Lotus', a troop of which came growling into the starting grid street one after the other. Unique amongst the rides was a Ford Shelby Hertz Mustang convertible concept driven by Gary Patterson of Shelby Automobiles, a military-style Hummer decked out in all-American apparel, a Scion TC and even a rented Budget moving truck fully stickered in Bullrun markings.

With drivers coming from around the globe, it was nice to see Canada representing with an old school fire-engine red Porsche nicknamed team OH! Canada. While OH! Canada had some engine trouble across the border, keep an eye out for the Canucks crossing the Miami finish line at the front of the pack.

While some may see this as a means for the rich to show off their "toys," be reckless on the road and party like there's no tomorrow while some of this may be true, the Bullrun is also an opportunity for those who love to drive and experience the freedom and joy of an open road to really embrace their automobiles and have a little fun. Winners of the hedonistic spectacle will have their $17,500 entry fee covered for them and earn the bragging rights as Bullrun first placers, until next year's race that is. So, we say good luck Bullrunners: May your gas tank always be full and your clutches fully engaged. Party hard and drive harder.
