Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) organizers announced that a new class will be introduced next season.
Touring and Super Touring drivers will now have to share the track with their fellow Spec B competitors.
The Spec B class will feature subcompact cars such as the Honda Fit, Fiat 500 and Ford Fiesta. The concept – already popular in the States – should help garnish CTCC fields, by introducing an entry level category.
The CTCC family could also soon witness the arrival of a new GT championship in town, intended to be a parallel series to the Touring car's championship.
