Vision Racing has confirmed that Ed Carpenter and AJ Foyt IV will be retained for the 2008 IRL IndyCar Series season. Indy Racing League founder Tony George owns the team. Foyt took Vision's best result last year when he finished third at Kentucky.

Vision Racing will have only two cars on the grid contrary to the three of last year. Thomas Schekter was driving the third car.

Meanwhile, veteran IndyCar pilot Sarah Fisher has announced the formation of Sarah Fisher Racing, a new team who plan to compete in the Indianapolis 500 in May and hope to add other IndyCar Series races to their schedule.

Fisher, who lost her ride with Dreyer & Reinbold to another female competitor Milka Duno, said the idea of forming her own team began during the off-season.
