It turned out to be a wild Nationwide race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Many Sprint Cup drivers were involved in crashes but at the end, as Brad Keselowski (Chevy No 88) and defending series champ Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) were fighting it off with less than five laps to go, veteran Mark Martin (Chevy No 8) ran into Edwards and sent him spinning into Keselowski, crashing both cars.

Eventually, Martin won the race, apologizing for the incident. Greg Biffle (Ford No 16) was second.

Quebec's Patrick Carpentier was asked at the very last minute to replace Kasey Kahne at the wheel of the No 9 GEM Dodge. Patrick did a fantastic job at avoiding many crashes and hurdles and finally wound up eight.

The other Canadian in the race, Ontario's D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 81) finished 29th.
