There's a 4-speed electronic automatic transmission and anti-lock disc brakes at every corner.Kelly-Ennis went for Chevy's Z85 Increased Capacity Suspension on this truck, since it's suppose to provide "a firm but comfortable ride." This package includes 32mm twin-tube shocks, a 28mm front stabilizer bar, and P235/70R15 on/off-road tires, with P235/75R15 tires optional as well. The other key feature on the S-10 Crew Cab Pickup for off-roaders or people who encounter poor traction is the Insta-Trac 4-wheel drive system. "In addition to its handy push-button actuation," says Kelly-Ennis, "Insta-Trac includes a 4WD Low gear for more demanding conditions such as climbing steep grades or driving through deep snow or mud."
For those times when people actually put something in the back of the S-10 Crew Cab, there's a factory-installed cargo bedliner for the cargo bed, which is almost square at 1402-mm long and 1438-mm wide. To help load cargo there's a rear step bumper and ledges to allow two levels of loading, which can then be tied to several loops.
Speaking of loading things in the S-10 Crew Cab, its maximum payload is 511 kg and its GVWR is 2338 kg.
Interior features which, in Kelly-Ennis's opinion, give the pickup car-like amenities include an overhead console with temperature and compass readouts, and delayed interior lighting, which automatically keeps the dome lamp on for 15 seconds or until the ignition is turned on after the front doors are closed.
