Although both carry the required prestigious nameplates, these cars cater to different types of buyers. These cars have different base prices however they quickly resemble each other as the options pile on. In this class, most buyers will be swayed by a pretty badge but those that are
looking for a long term relationship should seriously consider looking into the car's past reliability record. The German cars are very nice but they will not shine as long as the Japanese. The Swedes find themselves somewhere in the middle although a little closer to the Asians.
Between the two automobiles, we preferred the Lexus for its performance, dynamic driving abilities and exterior styling. The Volvo is still a great choice but it cossets more to the wise and well-off than to the flashy and well-off.
