Eric Bachelart's Conquest Racing has decided to partner with part of Gerry Forsythe's operation. That partnership will provide Conquest with technical and engineering help from Forsythe Performance Research throughout the 2008 season.
The announcement comes just two weeks after the Forsythe team abandoned their plan to join the Indy Car series this season and closed down.
Conquest will have their first IRL test of the season at Sebring next week before the season kicks off at Homestead on March 29.
In the meantime, Paul Stoddard has announced that he has no plans to enter his Minardi Team USA in the Indy Racing League this year. But Australian Stoddart will field cars in the one-off Champ Car event at Long Beach next month.
"I think realistically 2010 is the first opportunity for Champ Car teams to become competitive, when the new car comes," Concluded Stoddart
KV Racing should announce today that Aussie Vineyards and Will Power would join the team alongside Oriol Servia.
