Craftsman Tools, the main sponsor for the NASCAR truck series since its beginnings in 1995, has announced its plans to pull out its sponsorship after the 2008 season but only for business reasons.
According to Scott Howard, manager of marketing partnerships for Sears (Craftsman's parent company), Craftsman will remain in the sport in some way but he did not elaborate.
NASCAR, that has already begun its search for a new sponsorship, has gone through the same situation last season when it had to switch from Busch to Nationwide for its number 2 Series. Also note that the Cup Series will change from Nextel to Sprint next season.
