Driving the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford/Riley, the Canadian turned a lap of 1min42.058, which boosted his confidence ahead of the big day.

"I'm confident we'll be strong when we come back for the Rolex 24," 36-year-old Valiante said.

Dane Cameron, the Team Sahlen driver who was fastest on day two, turned second fastest Sunday.

In GT, Patrick Long (No. 73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche GT3) led again, with a time of 1min48.569s.

And in GX, for a third consecutive time, the No. 16 Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman topped the charts. Shane Lewis was at the wheel this time.
