North of the border, GM Canada President Kevin Williams makes the same observation. His intention is to attract consumers who have probably never thought about purchasing a car from Buick in the past. He told us that the Verano targets people considering an Audi A3/A4 or Lexus IS/CT 200h.

What should we make of that statement? Well, it may suggest additional body styles. After all, the Verano is available in China as a four-door sedan called Excelle GT and as a five-door hatchback called Excelle XT. The latter is actually shaped in the mold of the CT 200h, which is in turn inspired from the Mazda3 Sport.

Williams wouldn't comment on such prospects, but his smile might have told a different story. He didn't deny them, that's for sure.

Quiet, please!
The company banks on generous equipment and superior ride quality to make the Verano successful. John Schwegman unhesitatingly claims that the new premium sedan's interior is as quiet as a library!

Canadian dealers will welcome the all-new 2012 Buick Verano about a year from now (first quarter of 2012). Pricing will be announced in the meantime, with production taking place at the Lake Orion Assembly Plant in Michigan.
