The Veloster is expected to feature a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder engine with direct gasoline injection as well as 1.6- and 2.0-litre turbocharged variants for superior performance. A dual-clutch transmission should be available and Hyundai promises fuel economy of 40 mpg (5.88 L/100 km) for the standard powerplant.
The official debut is scheduled for January 10. Don't miss our
special section dedicated to the NAIAS for live coverage and complete specs.
