During the Detroit Auto Show festivities, Saab Cars North America announced a collaboration with Hirsch Performance AG, a Swiss company that specializes in aftermarket performance parts.

“Saab has had a long relationship with Hirsch in Europe and now we can offer performance enhancements for Saab customers in the US”, stated John Anderson, director of aftermarket sales and new business for the North-American arm of the Swedish automaker.

For 2007 to 2011 model-year 9-3s as well as 2010-2011 9-5s, Hirsch is offering a calibration kit for 2.0-litre and 2.8-litre engines, good for a 30-horsepower increase in output.

Other available bits and pieces include wheels, exhaust systems, spring sets, aerodynamic body kits and interior leather and aluminum trimmings. All parts are installed at authorized Saab dealers and do not affect vehicle warranty.
