I hope that the automotive enthusiasts let go a little of that obsession of acquiring of modifying an automobile that develops 300, 400 and 500 horsepower or more and realize that this little hobby has a price: the planet. You can go where you want with much less. Because the planet is well capable of giving us much more powerful punches, if that's what we need in order to learn. And if that's not enough, it can give us a couple of devastating ones to send our population to the floor for good.
(* And yet, official spokespeople for the oil companies say that the problem of the increase in oil prices don't originate from the lack of oil but from the lack of refineries! So, if we follow their logic, they had the capacity to counter the shortage of oil coming from the loss of supplies that used to come from infrastructures. What this reveals, is that they simply do not want to increase production. The peak has been reached.)
P.S. To conclude on a lighter note: I'd like to start a little contest. I invite you to WRITE ME about ecologic aberrations that you've seen so we can start a collection. I'll start with an example: Two weeks ago, while I was driving in the vicinity of St-Jacques West in Montreal, it was pouring down which made circulation pretty slow-moving.
