8:45 AM - Dodge introduced their new Charger to the world, with the help of a couple of NASCAR racers. Kasey Kahne, NASCAR's rookie of the year, and Richard Petty were part of the festivities.
The return of the Charger has already been announced for a while now, so the specifications will surprise no one: a 3.5-litre V6 will power base models, and a 340-horsepower, Multi-displacement 5.7-litre HEMI V8 will propel the top-end versions.
The Charger will also feature a 50/50 weight distribution, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. The HEMI-equipped Charger is expected to hit 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) in less than 6 seconds.
Interior features include DVD navigation, satellite radio, and an MP3 player, and all the other trendy gizmos found today.
No release date or pricing has been announced.
Pictures and additional information will be available soon.
