According to German web site Motorsport-Guide, the DTM will implement an important new technical regulation in 2012.
The site says that DTM officials have announced a refuelling ban to be effective from 2012.
The current fuel cells of a capacity of 70 litres would be increased by 30 litres so the cars could cover the entire race distance.
Two mandatory pit stops for tire changes would remain, with all four wheels of the car having to be changed but adding fuel to the car would be forbidden.
