The fifth round of the DTM championship will be presented this weekend at the Norisring, the street circuit built in the city of Nuremberg.
Leading by 36 points over his closest rival, Gary Paffett (Mercedes) was dominant at the beginning of the season, climbing on the podium four times in four races and claiming two wins.
Howevwe, the Brit knows that his advance could disappear in a single race. Last year, he was forced to retire at the Norisring after he hit the concrete wall during race. Mattias Ekström (Audi), Jamie Green (Mercedes) and Bruno Spengler (BMW) remains a threat for the Mercedes driver.
Canadian Bruno Spengler is the man to beat at the Norisring, a circuit he likes dearly.
“I claimed my first DTM victory at the Norisring in 2006. I just really like the circuit. I have won there on three occasions and have always ended up on the podium. I really enjoy braking hard and late. It is not easy to find the ideal line, although there are only a few corners. The atmosphere is just great. It is my very favourite circuit," Spengler said.
