Miguel Molina (Audi) clinched his second pole position this season after the qualifying in Hockenheim, last round of the DTM championship.

The Spanish driver, aboard a 2008-spec Audi A4, confirmed his good form as he set the best performance in 1min32.717s. He leads the HWA C Class Mercedes, driven by Jamie Green – who failed to beat Molina's benchmark by two tenth of a second (1min32.920s).

Martin Tomczyk, who already secured the 2011 crown, will start from inside row 2, after he set a lap in 1’33’’039 ahead of Mike Rockenfeller’s 2009-spec Audi A4 (1min33.510s).

The championship battle is already over, but there is still two contenders for the runner-up position: Bruno Spengler (C Class Mercedes) and Mattias Ekström (Audi A4). After qualifying, Spengler had the edge. The Canadian will start 6th, while Ekström starts only 10th.

Tomorrow will be the last race before a new era, as the new technical regulations will be effective starting from 2012.
