The seventh edition of the Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai is now six hours old and last year's winning car, the No. 1 BMW Z4 GT3, is in the lead.

Two Ferrari 458 Italia GT3s started from the front row but were quickly demoted from the leading spots by the flying Mercedes SLS AMG GT3s.

However, German driver Claudia Hurtgen pushed hard in the Saudi Falcons by Schubert BMW Z4 GT3 after having started 18th.

After six hours of racing and a few pit stops, Hurtgen in the BMW Z4 is in the lead.

The Heico 1 Motorsport Mercedes SLS of Andreas Zuber is second, about a minute down to the BMW.

The Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon Mercedes SLS driven by Jeroen Bleekemolen is third, one lap down to the leader.

The leading cars are lapping the Dubai Autodrome in the 2m05/2m06 bracket. The 70 qualified cars are still running after six hours of punishment.
