Daniel Ricciardo took his second Monaco victory in-a-row ahead of Canadian driver Robert Wickens, who now stands one point behind the leader in the standings of the Formula Renault 3.5 series.
The Australian driver, who took part to first free practice session in Formula 1 with team Toro Rosso, started from pole position and maintained his lead until the end despite the intense pressure of Robert Wickens.
Canadian Wickens, from Toronto, started from the inside row 2 on the grid, and moved up to second place ahead of Brendon Hartley moment after the start, and ran the entire race in second place.
The result puts him back in second place in provisional standings, just one point behind Jean-Eric Vergne. The Frenchman had a tough weekend, as he finished a lowly 12th after receiving a penalty for cutting the chicane on the first lap. Brendon Hartley took third position.
American Alexander Rossi, who was second in the standings before the race, did not score a point in Monaco, as he crashed his car into the barriers as trying to pass a rival.
Albert Costa was fourth at the finish line, but received a 10-second penalty for moving forward on the starting grid at the red lights, and was dropped down to 9th.
