Monaco is this week the scene of a busy and important few days for formula one.

The major players of the motor sporting world are in the Principality from Wednesday for the Motor Sport Business Forum, to be opened with a speech by Tony Fernandes.

The AirAsia airline boss is expected to confirm reports that he has decided to remain team principal of the new Malaysian-owned Lotus outfit.

Other notable figures at the rostrum will be Virgin's Alex Tai, who is expected to soon be confirmed as the boss of the new Manor/Virgin team, and the bidder for the Renault team, Gerard Lopez.

According to the sport's new governance structure, the F1 Commission is also meeting on Wednesday, where rule changes for 2010 could be agreed unanimously, ahead of the World Motor Sport Council in Monte Carlo on Friday.

One of the points of interest of the latter meeting will be the publication of a final race calendar for 2010.

Later on Friday, and after a series of other unofficial meetings connected with F1, the governing body's black-tie gala and prize-giving evening will be held in Monaco.
