Red Bull Racing’s Adrian Newey and former world champion Nigel Mansell have been rewarded for their good work in 2011.

For his "services to motorsport", Newey was made Officer of the Order of the British Empire, Autosport.com reported.

His achievements in Formula One have reached, thanks to Sebastian Vettel's latest successes in 2010 and 2011, a total of 16 world championships over only three decades.

The 53-year-old is effectively the most influential car designer Formula One has ever seen, producing dominant cars anywhere he goes – Williams, McLaren or Red Bull.

On his end, Nigel Mansell was named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for his altruist activities. He is most notably president of the UK Youth charity.
