Weeks after the infamous name dispute that opposed Ford and Ferrari over the ownership of the F-150 name, we could see another law suit rock the F1 world, this time over the name of the new Hispania Racing team car.

Early February, Ford sued Ferrari after the famous Italian F1 team decided to call its 2011 car F150.

Ferrari had said the single seater is named in tribute of the 150th anniversary of Italian unification. But F150 is a model of Ford's famous series of full-size pickup trucks.

Ford Motor Co. owns the trademark to F150 and decided to sue Ferrari. The matter came to an end in March when Ford asked the court to dismiss the case.

Last Friday, the small Spanish F1 team Hispania launched its 2011 race car, named the F111.

Ironically, the F111 name is a trademark of General Dynamics for a medium-range tactical strike aircraft that was used between 1973 and 2010…

What will happen this time? Will General Dynamics decide to take the issue over to court? Hopefully not.

But let’s be honest folks: is there someone out there who really can’t tell the difference between the Hispania F1 car and the fighter jet?
