Vettel finished the day in second place ahead of his teammate Webber.

Alonso was the leading Ferrari driver in fourth, with Schumacher staying among the frontrunners in fifth.

Massa completed the top six for Ferrari, while Jenson Button spent most of the session in second place but fell down to 7th despite a run on the Pirelli soft tires.
