Once the engine is started, the heating covers are removed from the tires and the car is lowered to the ground. The chief mechanic is responsible to give the signal to his driver to exit the garage safely.

And when the car returns after a run, it is pushed backed inside the garage by the mechanics. Six air blowers are placed on the car to cool down the brakes and the radiators. The mechanics then do the required changes and the car is returned to the race track to complete another run.
The Team Lotus enjoyed a solid day of practice on Friday. Trulli set the 16th fastest time in FP2, while his teammate Kovalainen was 17th. The low drag aerodynamic package of the T128 seems to be well suited for the Montreal circuit.
