Indeed, a team-liveried AirAsia Airbus 320 plane shown off by team and airline owner Tony Fernandes on Thursday is already emblazoned with the famous “ACBC Team Lotus” logo. ACBC refers to the full name of the creator of Lotus, Andrew Colin Bruce Chapman.

Almost certainly also on the agenda will be confirmation of the 2011 driver line-up.

Asked about the rumours in Singapore on Thursday evening, Heikki Kovalainen said: "Let's put it this way and then leave it at that; I know where I want to be."

Fernandes said: "We'll be making a couple of very exciting announcements."

The team technical director, Mike Gascoyne wrote on his Twitter page: “Great news that our GP2 team got an entry into the GP2 series. Team will be run out of a separate unit on our Hingham site”.
