Injured Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa will travel to Miami this Friday to be examined by Dr Steve Olvey, the American motor racing medical specialist and long-time ChampCar series’ chief surgeon, team Ferrari has announced.
On a report posted on the Italian team's website, the recovering 28-year-old said he watched the European grand prix from his Sao Paulo bed and felt emotional to see the helmet tribute (photo) and hear the kind words of his countryman and friend Rubens Barrichello.
"I followed the race also by my laptop, taking a close look at the live timing," Massa explained, having also provided live comments for the Brazilian television coverage by text message.
