Spanish sports newspaper Marca claims that two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso will drive the new, 2011 Ferrari Formula 1 car at the Valencia test early next month.

The newspaper says that the new car will be launched on a day between January 25 to 29 at the team's Maranello headquarters.

Spanish radio Cadena COPE also reports that Alonso will be driving the new car in Valencia on February 1 and 2.

Meanwhile, Force India, HRT and Virgin are set to travel to Valencia without a 2011-spec car.

Force India's chief operating officer Otmar Szafnauer said on Thursday: "The team will participate in all four pre-season tests and we will use the (2010) VJM03 for the first test in Valencia before the VJM04 makes its test debut in Jerez the following week."

Most other teams will begin the four-test period prior to the season opener in March with their new cars.

Renault on Thursday confirmed reports that its 2011 car (named Lotus Renault GP R31) will be launched on the eve of the forthcoming pre-season group test at Valencia.

On that same day, Sauber has booked the same Ricardo Tormo circuit to present its 2011 car the Ferrari-powered C30, including some maiden demonstration laps.
