Formula 1's governing body - the Federation internationale de l'automobile - has set a date for the appeal lodged by McLaren against the penalty that cost Lewis Hamilton victory in the Belgian grand prix a week ago.

The FIA's International Court Appeal is to hear the case in Paris on September 22, the Monday before the inaugural Singapore grand prix.

A decision, including whether the appeal is even admissible, is expected the following day.
