According to Radio-Canada Sports, the Fédération internationale de l'automobile, the FIA will not publish the tentative calendar of the 2010 Formula 1 championship before September.

Crucial decisions for the future of Formula 1 were taken on Wednesday during the meeting of the World Council of Motorsport.

Now that the FIA has guaranteed the participation of the major teams, such as Ferrari, McLaren, BMW and Toyota, contracts with Grand Prix promoters could be renegotiated.

The 2010 tentative calendar will be studied at the next meeting of the World Council in September and it should be released afterwards.

According to Radio-Canada Sports, this welcomed extension will give more time to the Quebec Ministry of Finance Raymond Bachand to negotiate with Bernie Ecclestone the terms of the return on the schedule of the Grand Prix of Canada.
