Lewis Hamilton picked up his world title award yesterday, in Monte Carlo, officialising his new status of Formula 1 Champion.

Proud of his team and the work they have accomplished this year, Hamilton took this moment to congratulate and show recognition to all of his team members.

Runner-up Felipe Massa also received an award for his second place in the championship. The Brazilian admitted he preferred to think of the future than spending any more time remembering the last lap (and its impacts) of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

"I won six races and played my part in the team taking the constructors' championship, which I know is so important for Ferrari. We are already looking to a new season and I will do my utmost to come back here to Monaco next year to claim the prize which today has gone to Lewis," he said.

The FIA Gala Ceremony was also the occasion for Ferrari to collect its constructor title award.
